The
Royal Varuna Yacht Club has some of the best sailing and
sailing facilities in the world. The club is set on a secluded
beach, in a natural bay between Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach -
less than two hours from Bangkok. This private and quiet location
is an oasis - just 5 minutes from busy downtown Pattaya.

The
Club's facilities include a double story club house with
the Spinnaker Room and Regatta Room upstairs, restaurant,
bar, beach bar, a swimming pool and a junior clubhouse.
Undercover boat storage facilites are provided for the beach
catamarans, the dinghies and windsurf appareil.
Motel-style accommodation, some with airconditioning, is
available for members.
Our
members
The club's
members are a diverse group, representing all age groups and
many nationalities (including Thai, of course!) While most
of our members participate in weekend racing, others prefer
leisure sailing. For some, the attraction of Varuna is simply
the opportunity to relax in a friendly atmosphere and a beautiful
environment. The club is a safe haven for children.
Sailing
This
is the main activity of Varuna and for every weekend some
event is planned. We have Club Races, very active Junior
sailing with regular courses, Regattas around the buoys,
traditional long distance races and training. There are
National and International Championships for Lasers, Hobies,
Nacras and Optimists. Regional and World Championships come
from time to time to the excellent sailing environment at
Varuna. The Sailing Calendar gives full details of the events
for the current calendar year.

of the calendar year. "Events this Week"
is just that, plus many other pages on NOR's, Bookings, etc. "Race Results"

The Royal Varuna
Yacht Club is a non-profit organization registered as an Association
under the Civil and Commercial Code. The Club is managed by
a General Committee elected annually by the members of The Club.
The Club was established in 1957 at Pattaya Beach and moved
to its present location at Kasetsin Beach, Pattaya, in October
1967 which it occupies under a lease agreement. The Club was
granted the honour of the Royal Patronage of His Majesty King
Bhumiphol Adulyadej and given the name "Royal Varuna Yacht Club"
on April 26, 2508 (1965).
